Temporary Church Closure 24 March 2020

Following the Prime Minister’s announcement last night it is with sadness that your local church has had to close its doors until further notice. Since the 12th Century St Mary’s Church has been a place of peace and sanctuary for our community. A Church, however, is more than a building. The Church is its people and the Living Church will continue in prayer, praise and service until Christ returns again in glory.

Please pray with us from home.

In response to the current situation with the coronavirus, St Mary’s, the Parish Church for everyone in Stotfold and Fairfield, is temporarily shifting its focus from being a place of public worship, to encouraging private prayer and service to others.

You can send your prayer requests to the vicar at revbritt@stotfoldchurch.org.uk.

We are also preparing plans for ways of offering practical care and support in our community, to reflect God’s love in practice at this difficult time.

God Bless,

Revd Bill
