FACILITIES & FEATURES

St Mary’s Church has a large car park which is accessed from Church Road beside the church hall. The church is floodlit at night for safety. The church entrance on the car park side of the church is level and suitable for wheelchair users and pushchairs.

Although the main part of the church is level, there are three steps, with hand rails, up to the chancel and altar rail. There is space in the main body of the church for wheelchairs and pushchairs. Communion can be brought to those who cannot use the steps up to the altar. If you wish to have communion brought to you in your pew or wheelchair please speak to one of the sidespeople when you arrive.

Children are welcome at all our services and there is a children’s area in the South Aisle where toys, colouring activities and books are provided. There are also play bags so that young children can amuse themselves in the pews. Please ask one of the sidespeople for a play bag. Alternatively the children can attend Sunday School during the 10am Parish Communion.

Large print copies of our hymn book are available.

There is an audio loop in the church.

There is a small kitchen, baby changing facilities and WC at the back of the church.

If you are unable to attend church through ill health we do have a home communion team who will be very happy to come to your home. Please contact Revd Bill Britt to make the arrangements.

The church is open Monday to Saturday from 9.30am to 4pm.

Church key holders: Revd Bill Britt, Revd Graham Clark, Stephen Hardman and Jennifer Bennett

There is a Prayer Box in the church for you to place your prayers to God or to say thank you to Him.
