Dust & Glory Bible Studies during Lent

Based on the Archbishop of Canterbury’s Lent Book 2023 “Failure” and this year’s Church of England’s short daily reflections, “Dust and Glory”, we will spend some time looking at faith, failure and forgiveness, and finding God in the mess of everyday life. What does Jesus say about failure, sin and mucking things up? We will look at Jesus’ own ministry and how it is grounded in the reality of the human experience of failure, culminating in the cross which could look like the greatest failure of all. How does the waiting of Holy Saturday reflect our experience of living with uncertainty and failure? How can we embrace failure without fear and discern, in the heartache, vulnerability and humility of failure, the glory of the cross.
